2015年9月4日、レゲエ界の巨星、トロンボーン奏者のリコ・ロドリゲスが逝去。彼のキャリアで転機ともなった名作『ワンダフルワールド』制作に大きく関与し、ジャケットに写真を提供した音楽フォトジャーナリスト、花房浩一が撮影した作品の数々を、それ以降のライヴ写真も加えて初公開。加えて、あれから20年の交流でふたりの間に生まれた裏話なども披露するトーク・ライヴも開催。
On the Sept. 4th this year in London, a real legend of Jamaican music, Rico Rodriguez, passed away. Koichi Hanafusa, a photo journalist, was involved in the production of his album called, “Wonderful World,” which was one of Rico’s turning points of his career, and provided a series of photos for the album. In this exhibition Koichi Hanafusa will be putting the main photos of this photo session as well as some shots from Rico’s shows in Japan. Along with this exhibition, there will be a talk show of Koichi talking about his experiences of Rico’s music in his relation to Rico for the last 20 years.
